I've been thinking a lot lately about improving page structure for ease of viewing. It seems to me that there are two issues: the most attractive page vs. the easiest page. Ideally these two concerns would be resolved by the same page structure, but is that possible in the real world?

I've been experimenting with slightly different layouts on some pages I've been working on lately, for instance a conference table page using frames, a very similar page about conference tables with no frames, and a pared down page with only the information about conference tables.

I like the clean feeling of the extremely simplified pages, especially for a product site like this furniture retailer I work with. They really put the focus where it should be, on the tables, office furniture, desks and credenzas. On the other hand, I fear that minimizing the navigation so drastically will confuse the visitor. There's something to be said for full navigation on every page, even if it might distract from the tables.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this issue yet & am interested in hearing other people's thoughts.
